No Show Sock season is almost upon us. If you live in Florida, we could make the case to wear no show socks right now. You technically are correct. However, many other people like to hold off until its truly too hot to wear ankle crew socks in the summer. There is even an exception to that too but I’m getting ahead of myself. What about right now in the Spring?
Spring is transitional. You can make the case to wear crew length to mid-calf length socks and not feel out of place. The trick is in the cotton blend and the weather you’re experiencing. For example, here in Jacksonville, there has been sun with occasional cooler breezes. Spring season also gets interrupted with summer temperatures ranging from the high 80’s breaching into the 90’s. ( I call it Pre-Summer living here )
Wearing combed cotton socks works perfectly in this regard. The key is finding a medium thickness but a very soft blend. The crew socks from Stance will do. Choosing either the Uncommon Solids or patterned socks with the combed cotton blend will work. Oh and don’t forget the Butter Blend socks. They are extremely soft and perfect with your Spring style looks.
I styled the socks with a Stance long sleeved T shirt. It’s Pima Cotton has a breath ability that still makes me comfortable.
Long story short, you can still wear ankle crew socks or mid-calf socks in the Spring. Yes you could start with a pair of no show socks early but that’s for another article later! Stay tuned for that!
